Chenrezig meditation

(Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit)

OM MANI PADME HUM

"May all mother sentient beings, boundless as the sky, have happiness and the causes of happiness.
May they be liberated from suffering and the causes of suffering.
May they never be separated from the happiness which is free from sorrow.
May they rest in equanimity, free from attachment and aversion."

 Avalokiteshvara

You can find as follow the short meditation of Chenrezig, which you can use in
your daily practices  by using the following text : (tibetan-english).

Taking-refuge and generate  Bodhiccita   :

SANG GYË CHO DANG TSHOG KYI CHOG NAM LA
JANG CHUB BAR DU DAG NI KYAB SU CHI.
DAG GI JIN SOG GYII PEI SO NAM KYII.
DRO LA PHEN CHIR SANG GYË DRUB PAR SHOG.

To the Buddha, the dharma and the sublime assembly,
I take refuge until I have accomplished the enlightened state.
By the merit of accomplishing the six perfections
Accomplish enlightenment for the benefit of beings.

(three times)

Development of the deity :

DAG SOG KHA KHYAB SEM CHEN GYI.
CHI TSUG PE KAR DHA WEI TENG.
HRI LË PHAG CHOG CHEN RË ZIG.
KAR SAL Ö ZER NGA DEN TRO.
ZË ZÜM THUG JEI CHEN GYI ZIG.
CHAG ZHI DANG PO THAL JAR ZED.
ÖG NYI SHEL TRENG PED KAR NAM.
DAR DANG RIN CHEN GYEN GYI TRË.
RI DAG PAG PEI TOD YOG SOL.
Ö PAG MED PEI Ü GYEN CHEN.
ZHAB NYI DO JEI KYIL TRUNG ZHUG.
DRI MED DA WAR GYAB TEN PA.
KYAB NË KUN DÜ NGO WOR GYÜR.

ChenrezigOn the crown of the head of myself and all beings of the universe,
on a moon disc and a white lotus, is the syllable HRI.
Chenrezig arises from this. He radiates bright, clear  light of five colors. He gazes with compassionate eyes and loving smile. He has four arms. The first two are folded in prayer. The lower two hold a crystal rosary and white lotus. He is arrayed in silks and jewels. He wears an upper robe of antelope skin .

His head ornament is Amitabha, Buddha of Boundless Light.
His two feet are in the vajra posture. A stainless moon is his back rest.
He is the essence of all those in whom we take refuge.

Praise :

Make the following prayer, thinking that all beings are making it with you as if in a single voice.

JO WO, KYON GYI MA GÖ KU DOG KAR.
DZOG SANG GYË KYI Ü LA GYEN.
THUG JE CHEN GYI DRO LA ZIG.
CHEN RË ZIG LA CHAG TSHAL LO.

Lord, not veiled by any fault, white in colour,
whose head a perfect Buddha crowns in light,
gazing compassionately on all beings,
to you, Chenrezig, All-seeing One, I prostrate.

    (Recite three times or more)

Then:

DE TAR TSE CHIG SOL TAB PË.
PHAG PEI KU LË Ö ZER TRÖ.
MA DAG LE NANG TRUL SHE JHANG.
CHI NÖ DE WA CHEN GYI ZHING.
NANG CHÜ KYE DRÖ LU NGAG SEM.
CHEN RE ZIG WANG KU SUNG THUG.
NANG DRAG RIG TONG YER MED GYUR.

By having prayed like this one pointedly, light shining from the holy form removes all impure karma and bewilderment. The outer realm becomes the realm of bliss (dewachen). The body, speech, and mind of beings within it become the body, speech and mind of Chenrezig. All knowledge, sound and all appearances become inseparable from emptiness.

Meditate like this as you recite the mantra :
